Child Watch Guidelines
Goals:
The Child Watch area and its staff will provide a safe and nurturing environment that will help your child grow socially through games, informal play, sharing and interaction with other children.
Program Guidelines:
We ask our parents to please support the staff and center by observing the following guidelines:
-
-
Please refer to hours and attendance in regard to the policy for hours and attendance.
-
Child watch is included with some membership plans, otherwise a drop-in fee is required ($3 per hour, per child drop-in rate).
-
The program is for child care ONLY while you use the Cold Springs Family Center, and you must remain in the building.
-
You are welcome to spend time with your child in the area, but interaction is limited to your child only.
-
If your child appears to be extremely upset after 10-15 minutes, we will advise you and may seek your assistance to calm them down.
-
There is a 2-hour time limit for each day.
-
If your child is sick, PLEASE do not bring them to the center.
-
We reserve the right to ask you not to stay if your child is sick (fever, running nose, etc.)
-
-
Check your child in and out of the area with staff at each visit. (Please advise staff in advance if someone else will be picking up your child.)
-
Once a child is signed into the area, they must remain in that area until signed out by an authorized person.
-
Youth who are not signed into Child Watch may not come in and out of the room.
-
Shoes must be worn at all times (socks are okay for babies).
-
-
Bathroom Procedure:
-
If your child uses the restroom and needs assistance, or needs a diaper change, we will ask you to come and help them.
-
Staff are not permitted to offer personal assistance to children while in the restroom.
-
-
Food & Drink – For the safety of all children, please observe the following if bringing food and drink for your child:
-
All drink and food containers must be labeled with your child’s name.
-
While eating, children must be seated at a table.
-
Due to allergies, please avoid bringing peanut products.
-
-
We would appreciate your assistance in teaching respectful habits by asking your child to help clean up their toys/play items before they leave.
-
Thank you for your support in helping to make Child Watch a successful experience for all children.
