Please join us in spreading a little Cold Springs holiday cheer!! If you are decorating your house/yard, then join our contest and let the community enjoy your wonderful display! The map will be available virtually and  all homes in Cold Springs are eligible.

There are prizes (and bragging rights) for the top houses in each category.

By popular request and to make it easier for judging, we are asking our contestants to choose which category that they would like their houses to be placed in.

Categories:
  • “Fa La La La” (Best house decorations synchronized to music)
  • Clark Griswold Award (for decorations and lights)
  • Spirit of Christmas (this house represents Christmas to you)
  • Santa’s Pick! (Which house would Santa like best?)
  • Charlie Brown Christmas (Not a lot of flash, but a lot of heart)
  • Normal Rockwell house (classic, traditional and heart-warming)


All houses that entered will automatically be considered for our Shining Star Award!  The shining star is like the “best of show”  award.  This award will be decided by a select panel of neutral judges that will make this decision.

Rules:
▪ You must enter by 8PM on Friday December 6th.  There will be no exceptions allowed as it takes quite a bit of time to make the map and late entries cause issues with the map.
▪ By entering, you agree to have your home listed on social media, the online ballot, and any other means we see necessary.
▪ Community members will be our judges.
▪ New this year, we are selecting a handful of community judges to help us pick out the Shining Star award.  The judges will be neutral and not involved with any of the homes that participate.

▪ Be sure we can see your street address and have your house ready to go by December 7th

Please remember that this is a fun community event created to help spread joy and cheer.  The goal of this contest is to bring our community together and share how amazing Cold Springs is for those visiting.  We encourage our contestants to share about the contest and encourage people to come out to Cold Springs to see the amazing decorations.  We just ask that you do not ask people to directly vote for your house.  We also ask that only people that have come out to view all of the houses vote for the winners.  Please do not ask people that have not visited all of the houses to vote. 

There will be no number signs provided this year because unfortunately most were not returned. You are welcome and encouraged to make your own yard sign reflecting your house number  so people can easily vote for you!

Note:
  • Please note that names and contact information will not be included on the map or made public.  Each house will be assigned a number for judges to use when they submit their votes.  The contact information is used to contact the winners and to provide updates.
  • Judging begins December 7th and goes through Christmas (December 25th)  at 9PM.
  • Winners will be announced on the Cold Springs Family Center’s Facebook page and posted on our website on December 26th.
